The BETZ Blackened Salmon

Servings: 2

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • The BETZ Blackened Salmon Seasoning

  • 1 pound Salmon (about 1/2 pound per person)

  • Olive oil

  • 2 lemons

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Cut lemons into slices (2 or 3 slices for each 1/2 pound of salmon) and place these on the bottom of a casserole dish.

    • NOTE: Cut remaining lemon into wedges to garnish the dish when finished.

  3. Cut salmon in half lengthwise.

  4. Brush salmon lightly with olive oil.

  5. Sprinkle blackened salmon seasoning on salmon and rub in.

    • NOTE: Coat heavily for added flavor.

      • This is the added benefit of having the seasoning in the bottle - you can adjust the amount of seasoning you use to be exactly what you and your family will love.

  6. Place salmon on top of lemons in casserole dish.

  7. Place dish in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until salmon pulls apart with a fork.

Recommended Side Dishes:

  • Tater Tots

    • Call us crazy, but pairing these two together was one of our most pleasant discoveries. The crispiness of the tots balances out the rich flavor of the salmon in a way that you won't know until you know.

  • Asparagus

    • We love to roast our asparagus in the oven. Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in the oven when your salmon has about 5-10 minutes left before it is finished. Top asparagus with parmesan cheese.
