The BETZ Pork Chops

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • The BETZ Pork Dry Rub

  • 4 Pork Chops

    • Note: We usually use pork chops with a thickness of 1/2" inch, but thicker pork chops would work great for this too! Just be sure to cook them a little longer :)

  • 1 1/2 cup Soy Sauce

  • 5 TBSP butter/margarine

Directions:

  1. In a medium to large saucepan, melt the butter and whisk in soy sauce.

  2. Place the pork chops in a medium to large bowl, and pour about half of the soy/butter mixture over the pork chops.

  3. Let this marinate for about 20-25 minutes.

  4. Remove the pork chops and season with the BETZ pork dry rub.

    • Note: You all know the drill - season lightly for a more mild flavor and heavily for a bold flavor.

  5. Once the grill reaches 425 degrees F, place pork chops on.

  6. Here's the tricky part because every grill is different, BUT for a general idea - this is what we do:

    • 3 minutes on 1 side then flip

      • Note: Take the remaining soy/butter mixture and brush pork chop EACH time you flip it to keep it from drying out.

    • 3 minutes on the other side then flip again

      • Note: This helps to sear the pork chop and seal in that flavor.

    • 2 minutes on this side then flip again

    • 2 more minutes on the other side then pull them off

    • DISCLAIMER: Again, this is a general idea - never consume undercooked pork (i.e. NO pink with pork).

  7. ENJOY with your favorite sides!

Recommended Side Dishes:

  • Au Gratin Potatoes

    • Betty Crocker is our go-to for this one.

  • Roasted Asparagus

    • One of our favorite vegetables to make - so the way we make this is linked above. It will take you to our blackened salmon recipe, so just scroll down to asparagus and have at it! We hope you all enjoy!
